More than 1,75 million euro in funding for charging points and shore power installations in Flanders and Brussels
In the coming year, 66 normal chargers, 2 fast chargers and 33 ultrafast chargers for electric vehicles will be built in Flanders and the Brussels Capital Region, as well as 9 shore-based installations for inland waterway transport. From the third BENEFIC project call for charging points and shore power installations, 11 projects were selected for a subsidy amount of more than 1.75 million euros. From the first two calls for projects, 33 projects have already been approved. Many of them have already been realised. With this third call, a total of 44 projects out of 100 submitted were selected for a grant amount of 7,325,569 Euro. Projects from the Netherlands were not considered for this last call. All projects are funded by the European Union through the CEF programme.
The applicants have until September 2022 to realise the infrastructure.
